Start by making wedge turns, but add a short traverse
between turns.
Build up some rhythm and then:
While making a turn in a small wedge and right when you
start facing across the hill, deliberately point the uphill/inside ski further
uphill until it is parallel with the downhill/outside ski.
Hold this parallel position for a few moments in a
traverse before you guide the skis into a small wedge into a small wedge and
start a new turn.
Again; continue past the flow line, go into a traverse and
point the inside ski uphill until it is parallel with the downhill ski.
• If you have some trouble doing this make sure all your
weight is on the outside ski. If you continue having trouble, actually lift the
inside ski up very slightly in order to point it into a parallel position.
• Always keep your shins gently in contact with the
tongues of the boots.
Try this in both directions for a great number of turns.
