First while stationary

While standing with your skis pointed across the hill, roll the downhill ski onto its uphill (big toe) edge by rolling your knee into the hill.

• Notice how the downhill knee moves toward and "chases" the uphill knee.

Then on the snow

Use the same action while skiing--actively chase after the inside boot by rolling the outside ski onto its edge as you steer it to catch up with the inside ski.

• You can start by thinking about one thigh chasing the other. Then, move the focus down to the feet. It is, after all, primarily the feet that should be directing the skis.
